Converse County and the Town of Glenrock have gifted the youth of Glenrock a new building to house the Boys & Girls Club of Glenrock – a place to call our own! This 10,000 square foot building is located at the new Town Square at 100 S. 6th Street.
Having been an advocate for children throughout her career, Maurica Medders has a passion for kids that was obvious as soon as she stepped into her role as the director at the Glenrock Boys & Girls Club. Maurica (pronounced ``Mah-rissa``) grew up in Casper and moved to the Glenrock area 4 years ago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement of Early Childhood from the University of Wyoming. Prior to coming to the Club, Maurica worked as a social services worker for the Department of Family Services and as a case manager for Wyoming Medicaid in the Department of Health.
She says she was attracted to the mission of the Boys & Girls Club and how it matched her personal passion to make a difference for children.
