In January, 2008, Dubois Youth Activities Inc. was established as a 501(c)(3) and later became a chartered branch of the Boys & Girls Club of America. In 2019, the Dubois branch merged with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming. Designed to give the students a place, a plan and a program beyond what the public-school district offers. Boys & Girls Club of Dubois provides safe, structured, out-of-school and summer activities.
We serve kids elementary children as a partner with Lights On After school and our summer camp. Our after school program, along with our summer camp, serves the middle school and high school population. We facilitate relationships with Club Members and aim to assist them in developing skills and achieving their goals. Over the past eight years, we have impacted the lives of over 600 youth within our community.
``I never would have had the awesome experience I did this summer, without the Club. I’ve made new friends and have a best friend that I get to spend time with here.``
``I am so thankful for the Club! Lani has grown so much in the last couple of years. She has become less shy and timid and really has come into her own. She has also found a real sense of adventure because of the Club!``
``Your programs are literally changing the lives of my children each day. The experiences that they have here are one of a kind.``
Lauren grew up on the east coast and moved to Wyoming in 2017, she has two boys ages 7 and 3. Lauren has states that she wanted to work at the Club because of the inviting atmosphere of the Club and the impact the Club has on the community. Lauren is an avid paddleboarder and loves working with the kids.
“Because of the generosity of the community and the programs the Club offers, there are truly wonderful opportunities available to Club youth that I wish someone had offered to me when I was their age. People in the community care, we at the Club care, and I as their Director care about each one of these youth becoming the best version of themselves.” - Lauren Giambalvo
